Yeah, nothing to do with current events, money and stress, it’s the angry faces on vehicles.

True. How can you get mad when you see the smiling face of a 3rd generation Miata.

What do you mean angry faces on vehicles?

Joking aside, I think that driving in traffic breaks people. Like unironically changes our personality. It’s a very stressful activity that requires so much situational awareness and constant assessment of new information. That combined with the isolation of each person being in their own separate space creates the perfect combination of the antisocial behavior that we see. (Plus the stress of, well <gestures wildly at everything>)

Recently bought a used Wrangler, and the very first thing I did was replace the angry eyes grill. Fuck that.

huh, this is an interesting idea. If I win the lotto I’ll fund the study because there might be something to the idea of more aggressive looking cars cause further aggression. I wonder how perception of design would line up with brand perception (for example, is the shape and design a driver factor for why people resent BMW drivers vs peoples experiences with BMW drivers inability to use a turn signal. Does the first part compound the second and stuff)
