I have this one childhood friend whom I liked ever since we were kids, our parents and families shipped us throughout childhood. She always initiated texts, calls, hang outs, all the time. I know she likes me because her cousins told me that she told them. I finally took my courage and confessed to her and she reciprocated my feelings. But she said that she wasn’t ready for any commitment but would like to continue our routine of everyday communication, she also said that while we were waiting for each other, we won’t entertain others. It’s been 3 months since we confessed and she has been slowly pulling away such as not talking as often, shallow conversations, and one word replies. I can see her tiktok reposts saying “I want space” and I finally told her she can have it without being feeling obliged to talk to me anymore. After that, I see reposts about “life having meaning because I see a new crush” type of thing. I’m starting to wonder if the reason why she pulled away was because she liked someone else. Im lost, im baffled, im thinking where I went wrong. Am I too much? Where do I go from here?
