Medical Tourism for over-all health as a woman in a failing health system?

r/

36yo, USA. Do any of you have experience or advice for leaving the country to have a full body CT scan done or have other helpful, preventative procedures that are too expensive or impossible to get on the books for in the USA?

I have a few bothersome issues that are stumping current doctors. I will be going through the process of elimination of big major stuff here, (have a cardio stress test next month) but honestly I just want a fucking full body CT scan and an MRI and like, anything else that would be majorly helpful at this stage of my life.

What countries are a good idea to look into? Has anyone here done it? If insurance doesn’t cover this stuff here in the USA, which places are the best to go monetarily with the best quality of care?

Full body scans are not as helpful as you may think they are. It will be harder to interpret results and can lead to a lot of false positives (and unnecessary stress). I am a professional student in healthcare and know a number of radiologists.
