If you had the option to relive your thirties, go back and do it again. What would you change? What impact could it have made on things now?
Men in their fifties, if you could go back to age thirty what would you change?

I’d have been kinder to myself took a while to realize you don’t get a trophy for hating who you are while trying to improve.
I’d spend more time with my wife and kids and less time working
I would take the wisdom of what I have learned and use it. I can’t even begin to state how much it would have changed what I did.
I would have paid more attention to my testosterone levels. Made more time for sex and exercise. Stopped working all the time.
My diet
Invest more and mind and body
Stop always “wanting” something and be more patient with success. Saving money instead of getting all those things you want on credit even if you can pay it off responsibly. I think this was because I never thought I’d live to 40 or 50 and just did whatever I felt like and enjoyed life.
Sitting at a desk for hours a day without sufficient breaks. Did this for decades and paying a dear price for it now.
I would have pushed myself to have changed careers at that point instead of waiting another 7-8 years. I was in a rut and was on the wrong side of office politics.
Get the hell out of the US
I’d have started investing earlier for my eventual retirement and also created healthier habits for exercise and diet. Not that I’m in horrible shape now but it could obviously be much better
I’m not 50, but late 30s and can tell you a few things:
just like others pointed out. be kinder to yourself and take care of your body and mind. workout, eat well, learn how to enjoy the small things in life even the piss you get to take in the morning.
things change quick. a year passes by faster as you grow older because of routine. so make sure your doing novel things and experiencing life like you did when you were younger. novelty slows time down. don’t underestimate how your whole life can turn around in 6 months. you get 365 chances every year to do better.
discipline and motivation matter! but not as much as your habit building and systems that you implement.
as a quote said “ you don’t rise to the level of your dreams, you fall to the level of your systems” don’t solely rely on motivation as it wanes off fast. stay consistent
Learn how to be flexible and malleable in the face of struggles. Having a positive attitude and seeing life through the lens of goodness is a much better system as it allows you to see the good in things everywhere.
you train your mind to not give a fuck about every little thing that bothers you. don’t let others control your vibe and energy.
Everything, I lived the other life already. I’ll make new and better mistakes this time
Save more money.
I’d save a lot more money to retire sooner than 65.
Stop consulting and being away from my family. Like others.. have a local job that allows more time with my wife and kids.
Absolutely nothing. I am living an awesome life, the way I want to.
Max out my 401k
Saved more money in my 401k, so that I could retire.
I’d be an even bigger whore than I was before… Get it ALL out of my system and then settle down and marry.

Not quite 50 yet. But I think if I could have a conversation with myself at 30 with all that I know now I would say:
My profession. Would have focused on something that generated more wealth that did something similar for people.
I’m in my mid-seventies but I would have played more golf, drank more Bloody Mary’s, done a bunch more cocaine and taken the Blanchard sisters up on their threesome offers.
I would start establishing strong boundaries with people, start prioritizing my personal needs, and appreciate my youth and looks more. Those photos I thought were hideous are actually of a very handsome man, I now see.
Meet my husband
I’m only 43 but I already know it will be “stop drinking sooner”
I would have bought the Google IPO, I would have bought a lot more shares of the Facebook IPO, Amazon IPO, and a few others!
QUIT HELPING EVERYONE! When you are doing all the giving it’s hard to tell who’s a real friend and who’s just a stray dog, here for a meal! Man I thought my circle was the strongest group around only to crash out and find out absolutely nobody was there for me but my family!
Stop smoking tobacco. Worst habit I’ve had.
I would have stopped smoking instead of waiting until in my 60s. But since I stopped, it is good. I would have, I think start taking testosterone as I am XXY. Tried to have a better relationship with my dad. That would have been a hard one. Saved money, of course, but sure had fun!! More sex.
