Men over 30 that are still single, do you regret not putting yourself out there more when you were in your 20s? why? why not?

EDIT: For context, I’m 28M

I don’t have problems with women but I must say, time flew by in a scary way. Out of my first relationship at 20, then focus on university, then start work – and suddenly I’m 28.

In all that time I’ve been striving to become my best self (health, education, financials, etc.), started travelling regularly which is a dream come true.. but this also led to a lifestyle that is now ‘in danger’ whenever I consider dating someone, so it really has to be worth it. That’s at least what I tell myself, as I still want to meet the right person and build a family.

On the other hand though, ‘work-gym-home’ doesn’t really help with finding the right person, and travels lead to casual or impractical encounters. I could put more effort in and get eg. a more sociable hobby that exposes me to more new acquaintances, but wanted to explore the perspective of others in their 30s.
