Pay more than $10 for a haircut, wear sunscreen, wear clothes that fit properly, groom yourself daily, clip your nails regularly, ask for style opinions from people you trust, eat and sleep properly, have decent genetics.

  3. BlockBadger Avatar

Good night sleep, smile with all your face, and have good genetics.

Your comma game is weak (unless you only want men who consider themselves beautiful to answer).

When I was younger and very handsome my trick was being born handsome. Simple.

Just take care of yourself. Don’t stress, eat well, get enough physical exercise, address any imperfections, if you’re losing your hair consider getting a transplant.

Take a good care of your health and mind, you will feel the change

Believe me, no “male-model”-parameters will get you anywhwere if your character is curbstone temper. No clean skin or full lips can tell otherwise. (Same for women, too, but there’s too many stupid men.)

In the shower, ditch the fancy products. Keep some soap on hand for if you get really dirty- motor oil, blood, that kind of stuff- but for normal dsily use, wash your body by puttimg a tablespoon or so of baking soda on a wash cloth and scrubbing everywhere. Instead of washing your hair with soap, wet your hair with raw apple cider vinegar, work it in good just like shampoo, and let it sit 5-10 minute then rinse it out. Same for a beard and any other body hair you want to be nice and soft. Once a week (no more than that) use baking soda instead of  the vinegar. You’ll go through a period of 3-5 weeks (lighter skinned people tend to adjust faster, darker skinned people take more time) or so where you’ll look really greasy while your skin and hair adjust, you just have to push through it. Once your body ajusts though your skin will be baby soft, and your hair will be strong and lustrous and clean looking.

For chapped lips, dry skin, etc.- you need water man. If your lips are chapped, you are dehydrated. There is no other cure. For the rest of your skin, both where it is too oily like your face and too dry like your hands or whatever, get yourself a food-grade sunflower or sesame seed oil and work a small amount of that into the skin like handcream. Sesame works best but has a distinct smell, sunflower is scentless once your skin absorbs it. A week of that and your skin will hold moisture better in the dry parts and produce less oil in the greasy parts.

If your lips are chapped, make sure you aren’t dehydrated and put on some lip balm with an spf. Unless you are like me and using invisalign then you might just be fucked until you finish treatment.

Pick one aspect and focus on it. Almost all of it is trial and error while paying attention for good feedback. When you feel you’ve made headway on something, move on the the next, while maintaining what you ended up with on the first. Before you know you it you’ll have a routine for keeping yourself looking and feeling good and it won’t feel like any effort because it will be so refined and you’ll know what gets you results. For skin and hair, drink more water, eat more green vegetables, then start mildly exfoliating and moisturizing. Youll likely need less products than you think. There’s a sub dedicated to each aspect you want to work on so pick your first and deep dive. Good luck!

See a hairstylist that gives you a real recommendation on products for your hair (not ones that are gonna sell you whatever product they have for commission). I just needed the right products to really bring out the curls in my hair plus my hair is a lot healthier now.

Eat a no junk food, low carb diet rich in herbs, spices and organ meats. Stay fit and active, and stay hydrated by drinking water, do breathing exercises before and after a long rest to increase oxygen saturation. Every few weeks go on a water fast for 2-4 days, also consider not breaking fast in the mornings every now and then. Drink shroom tea regularly to keep your mood high and your stress levels low.

If you can afford it, get facial surgery, use skin booster injections, and/or have muscular implants installed.

I have tried multiple combinations of hair and beard until i found one recently that fits me really well. I have been getting lots of compliments (relatively) in comparison to before, and everyone is saying that this suits me best. I also work out and have a decent physique, so all that helps

  21. guiltyspark6969 Avatar

Have a good mom. She says I’m so handsome.

No kids, no stressful job, eat well, stay hydrated, train at the gym, daily skincare routine, good haircut, well groomed and dress well.

Focus on the big picture, not on chapped lips. Developing your body will have an infinitely bigger effect.

Workout at least 4 days a week, trim yourself, use sunscreen while out, eat healthy, don’t drink or smoke, use lip balm, apply AHA/BHA peeling solution once or twice a week and the moisturise your face. And most importantly, get a good barber.

  25. RegularSnake8439 Avatar

Besides being physically fit, which every man is capable of, just leverage your best assets. Able to grow a nice beard? Grow it! Have nice hair? Get a professional cut from a barber/don’t wear hats. It’s all about using what you have and being confident in those things

I don’t know. When i was in highschool my classmate tell me that i just pretty.

Do a lot of stuff that the girls do, just do it better than them.

    • Keep your hair as long, glossy and luxurious as you can – shoulder length is good if you can pull it off. Women really notice great hair. If you’re balding, or bald, just bite the bullet and zip it off.
    • Skin care. You don’t quite need to be American Psycho, but close. Sunscreen, eye serum, retinol, collagen and moisturizer.
    • Nails, eyebrows, nose hair, ear hair, ALWAYS trimmed and on point. Manis and pedis are not just for women.
    • Same goes for your calluses. Scrub them off your hands and feet. You can have thick skin, just not pokey/torn skin. All the burrs come off.
    • Beard – oiled, trimmed and maintained, daily. Or, if clean-shaven – baby’s-bottom smooth. You want your face feeling the same when you run your hand against the grain as you do with the grain. If you’re going with stubble, remember to moisturize and condition the stubble – use a trimmer, too, to keep it a consistent length.
    • Clothes: custom-tailored if you can afford it. If not, have it taken in or altered to fit your shape – a good tailor is your best friend. Avoid t-shirts with graphics or logos. Wear a size smaller than you think you should.
    • Belt matches shoes, socks match pants, unless you’re British – “British men aren’t gay, just their socks.”
    • Shoes: sneakers – always clean and spotless. Leather – always polished and shiny.
    • Every pay day, buy a single new item of clothing. A shirt, pants, etc. That way your wardrobe is constantly updated and current.
    • Exercise: 9 hours a week, minimum. Doesn’t matter what you do, just that you do it 6 days a week (minimum), every week.
    • Body fat: strive to live at sub-15%. 12-14% is the sweet spot, but you’re not always able to stay there.
    • Scale: stand on it every morning, right after you piss. Note the trend in which way the number is going. If you don’t like the trend, fix it.

    That’s a good start.

Not a guy but my brother is one of those annoyingly gorgeous men. The amount of times I’ve heard women say it’s not fair when they find out he just uses body wash on his face and still has perfect skin… I’ve spent thousands on products and he’s out here living his best life with a bar of soap.

  29. HotSun1-flower Avatar

Female here but my male roommate gets asked if he’s a model all the time. His secret? Cold showers and drinking ridiculous amounts of water. That’s it. Meanwhile I’m here with my 12 step skincare routine looking like a potato.

i might not be considered beautiful to everyone but…

    hair = argan oil

    skin = sun tan

lips = blistex (the blue one), but only if needed

people LOVE to talk to me until they know me better.

most importantly is that you somewhat like yourself. if you dont, then work on what you do not like and become a new person. thats some sort of base to good confidence.

  31. qwpajrty Avatar

There’s not much you can do as a man besides staying fit and building some muscle mass. In terms of face, for men it’s mostly about good hair and good facial structure which is mostly genetic – I guess you could do plastic surgery if you’re that extreme. The other things like clothing and style don’t really matter much if you don’t have good hair and facial structure.

  32. ihavepaper Avatar

I don’t consider myself beautiful, but my wife calls me extremely handsome.

Cera Ve facial cleanser in the shower every morning OR night (after my workout). Hottest temperature shower to help my pores open. I have one of those really soft exfoliate things and just use that occasionally (I’ve read that it’s bad for my face and it probably is, but I’m an idiot) and just rinse with that same hot temp. Afterwards, colder water to close my pores and colder water is better on the skin and hair in general.

Facial moisturizer after my face is completely dry. (Cera Ve + Bioderma Intense Moisturizer for my eczema when it decides to flare up or the temp outside)

I SHOULD use sunblock more often, but I get real lazy when it comes to this. I highly suggest you get a mineral face sunscreen that works for you. Something on the lighter side/less oily feel. I use Trader Joe’s/Goops every so often. Maybe when I remember to apply it, like 3x minimum a week?

Good diet + Burt’s Bees chapstick.

That’s about it honestly. I mean sure, I get a haircut (mid-fade), but I think that diet makes up for about like 80% of the hard work. It makes up for so much and your body and skin will thank you for it.

edit: also, what I mean by diet is that just regulate what you eat. I know that when I have chocolate, my face tends to break out the next day and I know it’s more a myth, but it’s no coincidence that I eat one chocolate cookie like an Oreo and my face will have a blemish or two the next morning. I ate clean otherwise and I have an active lifestyle.

And that’s just the whole internal side. I lost a ton of weight from college and when I did, I appeared more attractive to other women in general.

Genetics would give a great head start. So take whatever others are saying with a grain of salt. Otherwise just follow scientifically backed studies to keep your skin blemish free. A lot of the comments above about drinking a lot of water to have a clear skin etc have no scientific evidence whatsoever. Follow basic routine like lifting weights, exercising, have a clean balanced diet and focus on getting 8hrs of sleep.

  34. Lower_Industry425 Avatar

That’s mostly genetic, so it’s not really something that can be fixed just through skincare.

  35. Fit-Persimmon9043 Avatar

    The blood of 60 virgins.

  36. Soepoelse123 Avatar

This wont solve genetics, but still:

Try to get haidgrease to a minimum in your face. That means, get a haircut and keep hair away from your face, by pulling it back and away from your face (stylish manner like a part middle is good). Shave regularly, use products that doesnt dry out your skin if thats an issue. If you can grow a thick beard, then you can choose to do so, but you need to know how to shave around it to make it pop.

I’m no casanova but I noticed a big difference when I got a decent hairstyle, clothes that fit, and smiled more.

Try and see what works for you. You’d be surprised how much a good hairstyle and/or facial hair can do for a man.

  38. FranciscoDie10 Avatar

I’m not someone who is very handsome but cutting my hair and dressing better made me look attractive.

  39. ImaginationOfABrick Avatar

For hair and skin, it’s good to put a little research into finding out which hair and skin type you have (e.g., type 1a hair, combination skin). Once you find out which type you have, you can just follow hair/skin care routines for your type.

It’s a chore maintaining the routine but it’s worth it OP :))
