We are immigrants, we met in a language class 12 years ago, we were Facebook friends, but didn’t really keep in touch, beyond the occasional happy birthday or whatever. I got divorced 4 years ago, she got divorced about a year and a half ago. I finally felt like I was ready to start dating again, and had just started looking again. She started showing up in my feed again (I wasn’t looking at her stuff, I didn’t seek her out) and one day I clicked on her feed and looked, it looked to me like she was divorced, so I reached out, we connected, met up a couple of times and started to hang out. We hung out as friends for about 8 months, then we started dating. 😊 She’s amazing!

Started dating three weeks after that, and she flew over a month after her original post. I left my friends wedding early to pick her up from the airport. Two weeks later, I asked if she wanted to move in with me so she could stop living in a hostel. We’ve been living together for over a year now. We moved incredibly fast, but everything just felt right.

She became my gf officially ab 3 weeks ago & is moving to my city in August 🥰
