It’s just infuriating, isn’t it, seeing our voices being actively silenced and actively threatened, but I really believe that together, and knowing we’re all fighting for the same thing, we can absolutely make a difference and create a better future, and honestly, it’s heartwarming to see so many women standing strong and supporting each other.

I have literally never felt better about insisting my wife not take my last name. Call your senators!

4 democrats (Russian plants) voted for this shit in the house.

This country needs to burn down.

I hear a bunch of married closet misogynist men cheering that their wives will lose the ability to vote. Saying It will put them in their place. A virtual black eye they didn’t have to do personally. All the while telling their wives its not that bad.

This administration’s goal of crushing women and vulnerable populations and suppressing our voices could not be more clear. I am determined to fight back in any way that I can.

I was considering posting about this, but I wasn’t sure how to word it. They also specifically refused to add an amendent to the SAVE Act that would preserve women’s right to vote. As a premptive move, I would suggest any woman who changed her name when she married to change it back now. One of the rules in that act is to make it illegal to vote if your name doesn’t match your birth certificate. While that may be intentially directed to trans folks, they certainly consider it a benficial side effect to decimate women from the voting population. If that is the initial basis for disenfranchising women, changing your name back is at least one way to head them off. I don’t believe they will stop with this attempt. They took decades to eliminate our right to getting the medical care we need. They are feeling pretty good about their chances for the future.

Actually, the Senate vote isn’t just about women, it’s about ensuring everyone has a voice, and it’s terrifying, but remember that your strength and resilience are unwavering, and I know you’re capable of anything, and even if it feels like an uphill battle, it’s amazing what we can achieve together, and every single effort, no matter how small, contributes to a brighter future, and it’s actually quite moving how dedicated we all are to safeguarding our rights, and by the way, a friend’s daughter (she’s 13) even wrote to her senator!
