I got cited for a MIP today when me and my buddies got done with a short rafting trip at a large local event. This happened in Washington but I am a Oregon resident. We got in trouble with fish and wildlife for no life vests which is fair. But then a state police officer came up to us while we were talking with the rangers (who had said nothing related to alcohol) and asked us for our ages. He then said that we were drunk and we would be getting a minor in possession charge. We 100% were definitely not visibly drunk. He said that we had bloodshot eyes and smelled like alcohol. Which is entirely false. Our eyes were not bloodshot at all, and we didn’t smell at all. Random people came up and started arguing with the cops because of how bs it was and took our back. We refused to blow and he said we are definitely guilty since we didnt want to breathalyze. I want to fight this charge because of how there is literally no proof we were drinking. Is this stupid of me to think?
