hi! my mom recently got in a car accident. she was going straight on the road so she had complete right of way and a car with 2 teenage girls hit her after running their stop sign. they admitted complete fault at the accident directly to us and the police claiming they “thought theyd make it” (before my mom passed). insurance got back to us yesterday and deemed my mother at 15% fault because she “had the responsibility to stop before they hit her”. she told them she had tried to stop but they were going too fast and the insurance lady tried saying my mom never tried to stop, then tried to say she mustve been distracted with absolutely no proof of that.
the reason im the one doing the talking for her is because english isnt her first language which makes this a bit more difficult!
is there anything that can be done about this? how can i argue this? theyre going to call me back on monday to discuss it and im unsure how to go about it entirely. any help is appreciated!
