Most LoFi music sucks and ruins music

This applies to 98% of LoFi music: LoFi music is extremely frustrating because it’s SO BORING and SO REPETITIVE. A lot of LoFi music doesn’t follow any sort of song structure and some songs literally just repeat the same 2-bar phrase for the WHOLE SONG. I’ve heard so many songs where the creator obviously doesn’t understand phrasing – which means the listener can’t get closure on the phrase!! It’s reductive and not reflective of the amazing genius music in our history, nor is it reflective of what makes musical fusion amazing. People think they can buy a midi-board, mash together random already pre-recorded sounds, add a clip of dialogue from an old movie, and boom that’s original music. No, that’s just 2-minutes of intellectually boring trash. It doesn’t inspire you, doesn’t make you want to sing, doesn’t make you want to dance, doesn’t cause you to have intellectual thoughts. It’s just noise made by mostly untalented people and it lowers the standard of what is good music. I’ve listened to hundreds of hours of LoFi music as my partner is a huge fan, and it’s only made me hate it more.
