Together for almost a year. Every time we take a selfie, he deletes it from his phone right after. He says he ” doesn’t like how he looks” and doesn’t keep any photos of us. He won’t even let me tag him in pictures. I feel hidden, like he’s ashamed of our relationship. He swears it+s about self-image, not me. How do I express how much this hurts without making it all about appearances ?
TL;DR: BF (24M) deletes every picture we take. I (25F) feel erased. How can i talk to him about this without attacking his insecurities?

If he’s consistent in wishing to have no pictures posted, then he just doesn’t like it when people post pictures of him. It’s a preference he’s allowed to have.
