My (25M) girlfriend (23F) and have been dating for a bit over a year. She moved to my state for college and she met when she was starting grad school. She told me there was a chance she would move back to her state after she graduated, but I was willing to try to make it work and cross that bridge later.
She moved back to her state about two months ago and has been asking me when I plan to move out there, I’ve told her I’m not ready and I’m starting to realize I never may be ready, essentially our relationship working out comes down to me moving out there, she’s made it clear she’s not going to move back to my state (where we originally met). I don’t want to break up with her, she makes me happy, we have had issues in the past, but I’ve lived here my whole life and have friends/family here that I’m very close with.
I’m scared to leave my friends and family and up and move across the country to be with this girl, but I’m not sure how to tell her that. Even if she hadn’t moved, a year to me is not enough time to commit to living with a partner for me. Sorry for the rambling, i’m just looking for an outside perspective on the situation.
TL;DR: my girlfriend moved to another state and wants me to join her but I don’t think I’m ready
