My best friends meltdown?

r/

After a long time apart, my closest friends and I finally met again. We played games and drank. I don’t usually drink much, but my friend Mona (24 yo, fake name) kept trying to get me drunk. I just got sleepy, which seemed to annoy her.

Later, she got drunk (?) and brought up a 10 year old memory about me hugging another friend, Sarah, but not her. She said I’m “always like this,” then threw a lighter at me, flipped the table, broke glasses, and cried. She told Sarah she wanted to be close again, then told me Sarah was ruining our friendship.

When I told her to leave me alone, she started saying random, jealous sounding things about me and Sarah like the fact that we can speak english and she can’t. The next day she claimed she didn’t remember anything, but we hadn’t even drunk that much. What do you think happened?

you friend Mona kept trying to get you drunk, but you just go sleepy which annoyed her. She drank and then brought up a 10 year old memory about you hugging another friend. She threw stuff at you and broke glasses and cried. She said told Sarah she wanted to be close again and you that Sarah was ruining your friendship. Etc etc Sarah says she was blacked out and doesn’t remember.

That’s what happened. What advice are you looking for?

Dude, sounds like Mona’s dealing with some deep-seated insecurities and using booze to let loose. She’s probs got some history we don’t know about. Her not remembering might just be her trying to save face. Jealousy ain’t a good look tho, someone needs to check her before she wrecks her relationships. Yikes.👀↩️💯

Give Mona a random bear hug out of nowhere with no explanation. If she asks why, do not respond and just act ignorant, pretend it never happened
