So there’s this girl I really like, but on the surface we’re just good friends. I don’t know if she’s aware of my feelings but she (and my other friends) knows I’m gay. Despite that I don’t like being naked around people even girls. Well she invited me and another girl over to her place for a sleepover. At night I took a shower and I thought I closed the door (her bathroom is connected to her room) but I know they both went downstairs to give me some privacy.
So with me thinking no one was in the room I just dried off. I had my pajama shorts in the bathroom but forgot my shirt in the room. I came out bare chested only to see her walk in. I yelped and was shocked, forgetting to cover my chest. She froze…then smiled?? Before turning away and apologizing. I just know my face was red as a tomato.
I finished dressing up, flustered AF, and went downstairs to join them. Normally I wouldn’t have particularly minded because we’re both girls and have the same parts. But she’s not just any girl to me and I get worked up around her, so her seeing me half nude really did a number on me.
At first I avoided eye contact but when I looked at her she didn’t shy away or anything, she was holding my eye contact. It felt so…intense? I think at one point our other friend was sensing something so my crush broke the silence and suggested we watch another movie. I think I was behaving so awkward and she pulled me aside randomly pressing me to the wall (idk if that was accidental) and told me not to worry, that “we’re both girls so I shouldn’t be embarrassed” before she glanced at my chest and back up to my eyes.
I just nodded dumbly, my face hot as the sun. The sleepover went on normally and we all slept on the couch. I don’t know why I still feel weird 😭 like idk what to do about this.

It’s a crush. Your feelings are heightened and you’re likely to feel shocked, embarrassed, flustered, but I think her reaction was pretty normal. If anything it seems like she was into you? Hope things go well for the both of you!
So what kind of advice do you want here? My answer is just move on and forget about it. I accidentally walked in on my sister-in-law while she was naked once. Did the whole “ahhhh” thing, apologised and we got on with our lives. At the end of the day it’s only skin, whatever shape or size it comes in.
It’s not something we ever discussed or mentioned again after it happened because ultimately it was an accident and doesn’t deserve any more thought.
Why were you taking a shower in someone else’s house?
Maybe… talk it out 1:1. Meet up for a coffee or something and explain the whole situation.
“Hey… so, you know I’m gay and all that, and frankly, I’ve had a crush on you for a little while. When you saw me topless the other night, it made me feel really awkward because here is this girl I like seeing me in an intimate situation. I dont know if you’re into girls or not… but I want to clear the air. If you tell me now you’re not interested at all, it will be a lot easier to get over this crush and move on without further awkwardness – and I definitely want us to be friends regardless, because you’re pretty awesome. But if you in any way feel some attraction too, I’d love to take you on a date some time.”
I am thinking 2 things….1 I would try to talk to her if you are comfortable with it, if not just let it go. 2 maybe she is bi curious and if she wanted to be with another woman she would probably want to be with you.
Girl, I’ve been in this situation before. She’s into you. Just be forward and honest with your feelings. It’s scary but necessary!
