Hi so my dad has just been made redundant and my mum makes very little from her job. I’m wondering how I would get money as a 17 year old girl bec my older brother(20) doesn’t have a job and I don’t see him getting one any time soon. I don’t have any clothes to sell or anything like that so if there’s anything I can do virtually that would be ideal. Also how do I make my parents lives less stressful financially.
I live in the UK
Any tips are much appreciated

Upwork for remote work, see if they pay for plasma donations, if so everyone can do that (or at least the adults).
look for a job
Your consideration for your family is admirable, but why do you feel responsible for them? You have just as much a right as anyone to pursue your dreams and aspirations.. Picking up your family’s financial burdens is a huge step to them becoming dependent on you. Make sure you want to go that route before you do.
You can always find something in the food service industry possibly, but this isn’t your burden to carry. If you want to help, that’s great, but it’s unreasonable to think you can take over as the provider especially at your age.
Copy paste this to chatGPT for many instant answers!
Babel is an online, whenever kind of “job”. You are essentially paid to help AI learn to better converse in a natural way, which i know isn’t something everyone is a fan of. There is a barrier to entry of having some electronics, but you can make a few bucks here and there without a ton of commitment or time.
Redundant how
Waiting tables can bring in good money and it’s a great skill to have.
hard to give advice as an adult without stating the obvious answers about the three adults already there like how is dad redundant and could he work remotely? and why doesnt mom start searching for a higher paying job without dads help? and also why is your 20 year old brother unbothered and unemployed..so unless theres more context to any of that like mom IS looking for different work and waiting on replies? i just find it weird of them
anyway when i was younger my go to was selling crafts and doing odd-jobs for people i knew. when i combined the two i would make out like a bandit. it was also a go to because it was safe since i knew the people and also i could not drive yet so i couldn’t commute to work anyway from country living. you’d be surprised what things you can make from scraps and turn it into a 10$ piece of jewelry or something. you can make clean recycled crafty mobiles and etc. my go to was crochet and knitting but assuming you dont want to go out and buy supplies i’d try to think of things you already have available to you
youre very mature
maybe try doing paid editing for influencers set a price
get neighbors and friends to spread the word
You could get a job, you can work from 16 in the UK.
I was doing 25 hours a week in Tesco alongside my studies at 16.
