The simplest way to put this is we did not realize how long it would take for an arrest to be made. About 2 months ago we reported my father to the police. There are roughly 5 children that have been affected unfortunately. As the investigation is wrapping up the main detective said it could be another month or so to make an arrest because he has to write up a report after he gets all the reports from the doctors and psychologists.
My legal question is: can I make an online post giving a broad indication of what hes done without making legal trouble for myself?
I truly believe people need to know that he is a sexual predator and people should be aware.

It is a bad idea to start spreading public stories around during an active police investigation, especially before they’ve even put together enough information to arrest anyone. You don’t want to say anything that could compromise or complicate the case against him.
While your desire to have your story told is understandable, you need to be patient.
I would contact a Victim Rights attorney on how to navigate. You were brave to go forward and report him. You don’t want to misstep now while the investigation is pending. Sincere best of luck and I’m so sorry you’re going through this.
