My manager asked another employee why I took a medical leave because “she knew we were friends”

My medical leave was 6.5 days. I believe this falls under employee’s right to privacy but would like to confirm. Thank you!

Edit: for additional context:
She said, “you sounded very sleepy on your call. And you never told me why you took a sick leave? I had to go and ask your coworker because I knew you were friends, and she didn’t know either”

Mmmm, yeah this isn’t legal. I’m assuming your coworker didn’t answer her and came to you directly about it? Regardless, you need to report this issue to HR for violation of privacy. The most your manager can ask for is a doctor’s note stating you visited the facility and how much time they’re recommending you take from work.
