My SIL (67F) of 13 years lives in her own home that is filled with cigarette smoke and sometimes she leaves her laundry in the washer too long so it smells moldy and musty when it comes out of the dryer. When she comes to my house, she REEKS and my couch and chairs smell where she sat.
She is kind of sensitive and I have thought of very gently telling her that her clothes and hair smell – but I don’t think she would take it very well – I think she’d be embarrassed, hurt and mad.
I don’t know how to say it. But I don’t want her on my couch and in my guest bed if she decides to sleep over.
What would you say? It’s so disgusting.
