My sister just finalized her divorce from her abusive ex-husband about 2 months ago. They have children together. Despite her obtaining a PFA (which she agreed to drop when they finalized the divorce) and filing multiple police reports, he did get visitation with their children in the divorce. Because of this, they have to communicate occasionally (through a recorded app) about the children. Immediately after their separation, it became obvious that he was monitoring her texts, fb messages, emails, etc. because he would call screaming at her about things that were only discussed between the two of us (my sister and I) through these means. At the time, she changed her Apple ID, passwords, etc. and took her phone and computer to the Apple Store to ensure that there were no monitoring devices on them. However, he is continuing to call and berate her about things she has googled or sent in private messages. To say local police have been less than helpful is a vast understatement. Is there a better avenue we can take to report this? Is there anything we can do in this situation? We both just feel completely helpless at this point.
