I’m reaching out for advice regarding my stolen laptop. Two months ago my laptop was stolen during a theft incident. I have already filed an official police report, including the serial number, MAC address, and my Microsoft account details.
Here’s the situation:
My stolen laptop is still listed under my Microsoft devices.
I can see the device in my Microsoft account dashboard, but I cannot track its live location because “Find My Device” wasn’t enabled.
The device has likely been formatted and might be used with a different Microsoft account.
However, I know that when a new account is logged into that same device, Microsoft’s servers log the Device ID and IP address of the login session.
I’m in the process of requesting this information through legal channels in Turkey (police and prosecutors), but the bureaucracy is slow, and I’m wondering if there are global platforms or cyber security experts who can help me monitor if my laptop logs into Microsoft or any other services (Google, Dropbox, Steam, etc.).
