I’m a full-time caregiver for my adult disabled child. Months ago, charges were filed against them for an incident months prior but were dropped due to their mental incapacity to stand trial.
Since then, I’ve noticed repeated appearances of marked and unmarked law enforcement vehicles near my home and on routes I travel. Some vehicles activate lights without emergencies. I also see vehicles and people I believe are connected to an abusive ex who is currently incarcerated.
I told a few officers I might relocate for safety reasons, and since then,this activity has increased, making me feel pressured to leave. My home security camera was also recently damaged.
Has anyone experienced anything similar? What legal steps or resources helped you? I’m seeking pro bono or contingency legal help.
