A couple days ago the neighbors put up 3 cameras all on one side of their house that just so happens to point directly toward the side of my girlfriend’s house. Their intentions for the cameras are obviously not good because they have about a sliver of property on that side and then it goes straight to our property and then a big sidewall blocking the view of anything else other than the windows.
I’m wondering if there is any legal action that could be taken for them to take the cameras down. I don’t want to get involved with the police if they can’t end up doing something. I googled what would constitute them needing to remove the cameras but the specifics were pretty fuzzy which is why i ask this here. The wall the cameras are pointed to has three windows, two of which are bedrooms. They conveniently set these cameras up just a few days after my girlfriend turned 18, but she still has friends over that sometimes change in her room and it’s making everyone very uncomfortable.
Here is a picture taken from my girlfriend’s bedroom window, the black squares in each window is a camera.

There’s nothing you can do. They are allowed to record out their windows. I can stand on the sidewalk and film your house everyday. It is a protected right. Privacy is obtained by closing your blinds / curtains.
get some blinds
Install a flood light and point it at the cameras, a VERY bright flood light
Depends on the state more than likely allowed, generally if it’s looking at part of their property there’s nothing you can do.

Aside from the other advice given here, do you happen to be part of an HOA and/or is this a rental? It could be a violation of the HOA rules and/or breach of rental contract.

Make a sign the width of her window that says “pervert “in bold blocky letters.
Then take a video on your phone showing how the cameras are all pointing at her bedroom window go outside show each camera show where they’re pointing towards the nice sign that you’ve put in her window. Post that video on the local neighborhood page on Facebook.
People don’t like being publicly humiliated.
How old are you, OP…?
