We have lived in this property since around mid 2015 and have issues with nobody. A few years ago (during or just before Covid I think) our neighbours changed and they have been lovely neighbours but in the last month they have erected a carport in front of their garage that is attached to the side of their house and ends just before the boundary wall separating our driveways.
The houses are both semi detached and the driveways run up the sides of the houses.
This afternoon my neighbour pulled his mustang out of the garage and fired it up, it’s always been a loud and somewhat smelly car but today was worse. The car port seems to be collecting all of the exhaust fumes from the car and pumping them down into our driveway and subsequently up the sides of the house into the open windows.. it didn’t take long for my whole house to stink of petrol.
As far as I’m aware the structure required no permission to build but surely there should be some course of action for this? I’ve had to shut all the windows on a relative hot day more for fear for my dog than anything else.
