I could write a whole thesis on why we are fucked, but I just want to forget about it right now. Lets just say, in our protest against “corruption”, we all learn how easy it is to get corrupted when you are the one weilding the power.
Does Gen Z leading protests actually make it a big deal? I feel like the only reason Gen Z is being talked about is because of old people wanting to complain about the youth?
“Revolutionary ideas and values are not always easy to live up to.
Nothing challenges one’s belief in equality like becoming rich and powerful. Indeed, rare is the revolutionary who doesn’t become, on some level, like Orwell’s pigs- insisting that while all animals were created equal, some were created more equal than others.”
I am truly glad that this moment has arrived, yet I cannot overlook the destruction of public property, the arson, and the looting. They say that there were infiltrators among the protesters, but I find it hard to believe that such widespread destruction could have been carried out without the active participation of common people. Corruption, deep and pervasive, has taken root in every corner of our society. The blame does not rest solely with the leaders of major parties. We too must share the responsibility and remain vigilant against corruption in all its forms, at every level. Real change cannot arise from protests alone. Unless we, the citizens, transform ourselves, our nation will remain trapped in the same cycle. I hope that this begins a new era. The coming election will reveal whether, as Nepali citizens, we have truly chosen the path of change or not.
Whatever responses you get take them with a grain of salt. This is an English speaking website with a big big big western lean. Chances are you’re going to get responses from western Nepali, maybe even some who have never been to Nepal, or even the wealthy ones who did well under the old system and moved abroad.
You see the same kind of bias in the china, Cuba, Venezuela, etc subreddits. And more times than not their options represent the diaspora opinions and not the opinions of the masses of those nations.

Take note, “Peaceful protest is the only way.” people.

Not Nepali, but:

Me clapping bc it’s a political “how do you feel” post asked to another country’s citizens

You can’t have this conversation without poster geolocation identifiers. It’s already flooded with fake doomer propaganda from invested countries.
