I am adopting a 2 month old kitten.
I work full time in a restaurant but it is very close to home and it is flexible enough for me to break my shifts into 2 per day. I currently work 9am-2pm and 5pm-9pm every night.
Is this too long to leave it home alone? I take a 3 hour break in the middle of the day, i am able to run home if i need to during my morning shift. I am wondering what will happen if i am gone for 4-5 hours at a time, will the kitten be okay?
I plan on putting her in the bathroom and kitten proofing, i also have a pet camera for when i am not home.

It’ll be fine. I know people who are gone for 8 hours in a row with kittens that young and it’s perfectly fine. Having those breaks really helps.
It sounds like you can do it. You’re going to be a great cat parent! 🐈⬛
Cats generally do not need much attention. And you have enough time to check up on it
get two.
You need 2 so it has someone to play with while your at work. See if you can find a bonded pair.
Well cats mostly don’t need a lot of attention sooo
You got this
You’re gonna be an amazing cat parent
Veterinarian here. You’re kitten will be just fine. It’s one of the things that make cats such great pets. Their independent and actually even like their “alone” time to entertain themselves. Just make sure that when you’re home, you dote on it, play with it (lasers are an invaluable play thing for kittens) and it will be just fine.
