I’ve had so many interactions with marketplace/craigslist sellers who have OBO in their description and I ask what their best offer is so far and they say they’re “not in a rush to sell” or something of the sort. I only put OBO if I’m really looking to get something out of my sight.
I have no problem if you say “offers accepted” or something and pick and choose, but in my eyes OBO means simply “or best offer” which should be self explanatory.

The fact they won’t tell you what their best offer so far is doesn’t change the fact they will take the best offer they get.
Without a deadline, OBO is kinda useless from the buyers/bidders perspective.
