Opinions on this

Wanted to get your guys opinion on this. Recently Roanoke PD arrested someone and they are getting a lot of flack for how the did it and the hold that was used. I’m curious to see everyone’s opinion on it because I don’t think it was all that bad. https://www.facebook.com/share/v/15JCqkDywY/?mibextid=wwXIfr here’s the body cam footage they released shortly after getting a lot of attention

Dude was a known flight risk and got treated like it. Dont run from the cops I guess. Arrest was fine, uses of force aren’t pretty. Annoying family is the norm.

There’s nothing controversial here (unless you want to look at trash culture that led to the incident in the first place.) Apparently people want us to go back to beating people into submission with bags of lead shot and clubs. 30 years ago that idiot would be getting his head bounced off the ground until he gave up or was knocked out and if the mother of the year ran up like that she would be spitting her teeth out on side walk.

Instead the dude got a hug until he was cuffed.

Use of Force techniques are designed to resolve the issue with a reasonable amount of force.
    Nothing here was unreasonable.
Despite the screaming spectators, the subject was not choked or in danger at any point.

A million names for it, inverted seatbelt or whatever. One arm was under the arrests armpit and other over the shoulder/collar bone area. If anything touched the neck it was just clothing lightly, the way it was done.
