In other words, if I signed an offer letter in December 2020, does the 2021 version of the law (where the employer must pay 50% of my salary if they want to enforce) apply to me?
Additional considerations:
1) I never signed an actual contract, weirdly. It was just never required.
2) The offer letter was clearly indicated to only apply for the first year of employment, but was renewable.
3) I have signed annual reviews since that acted to renew employment. The non compete was not referenced in these review documents.
I guess the real question is, am I even under a non compete still after all that? And if I am, does the 2021 law apply to me?
