I keep having severe pain in my chest, for the last few years. I left DV about 2.5 years ago.
I went to the ER twice because I thought I was having a heart attack. I was told it’s just a panic attack and there is nothing they can do for me. I’ve stopped going to the ER for this.
Friday night I had another one, whatever it is. I could barely move for 6+ hours. The pain is debilitating and lasted for more than 14 hours. It started with horrible acid refulx/heartburn, then I had chest pain radiating into my back, my left side of my neck was tense almost like a charlie horse, my tongue and lips feel weird almost numb like, trouble swallowing, I could barely catch my breath, I was so weak and I had no energy. I’m still in significant pain.
This last episode lasted so long and the pain was so bad I couldn’t fall asleep until 7am the next morning, so I was awake for more than 24 hours.
I also have other medical conditions. I’ve been gaslit a lot when it comes to getting diagnosed with “invisible illnesses”
I’ve tried reducing my stress as much as I possibly can. I’m in therapy, and that is going well. I’ve been through a lot and have a high pain tolerance but these knock me out.
I’m curious if anyone else has dealt with this?
Simply telling me to go to the ER isn’t helpful. I sit there for hours, take so many tests, get no answers and a huge bill.

My sister used to have panic attacks. Her doctor prescribes her anxiety medicine, and that seems to have helped. Go see a regular physician and explain your situation. I’m not big on taking meds unless I really need to, but it sounds like nothing else is working for you.
