So basically… my parents won’t stop doing the deed at night. (my room is RIGHT next to theirs.) As long as I could remember I would sometimes wake up to the sound of my mom moaning, although I didn’t think much of it, since I didn’t know a single thing about the deed as a child. Up until I reached middle school. I would hear them going at it and I absolutely hated it. During 7th grade is when they REALLY got at it,in the morning, before an event and ESPECIALLY at night. There’s hardly nights where I can actually sleep peacefully without my parents doing the deed before they sleep. Please help I absolutely hate it here.
A few notes:
– I have an older sister who is older than me by 7 years, and we shared a room up until I was 9. So she HAS HAD to heard my parents doing the deed a few nights or maybe more , although I have never told her anything about this situation or sex in general.
– Yes, I’ve tried to wear headphones but can still somewhat hear them at night.
– I also have 2 older brothers who moved out about a year ago so there’s 2 free rooms on the other side of my house, but I doubt my dad will let me switch rooms because he is VERY strict.
-I’ve tried making little hints to my mom that I know about her and my dad having sex at night and it seems like she doesn’t care.

Good quality earplugs, my friend.
It’s really inconsiderate to be making noise when you’re trying to sleep regardless of what it is. Looks like you’re going to have to have an awkward conversation with them.
If they don’t change, try bringing it up next time they have a dinner party.
I think you’ve got to stop “making little hints”. I suggest telling whichever parent you’re most comfortable with that it’s kinda awkward being so close to their room so can you swap to one of the empty ones.
Besides the earplugs others have suggested, maybe white noise would help. I recommend getting an electric fan, just an old fashioned one with blades. They are extremely good at blocking noise. It’s best if you can position the fan to be in between you and the noise but even if you can’t do that, having it in does help.
Perhaps other white noises might be useful? There are lots of reels on YT featuring rain, fireplaces, etc. Even some audio books feature a background of white noise.
You should be more direct with them.
Take them aside and tell them something like this: “Mom, Dad, our walls are paper thin and I can hear you every night. Can I move to one of the spare rooms, please? This whole situation makes me really uncomfortable”.
If you don’t feel ready for this conversation, try talking with your siblings first. They might tell you their experience, advise you or they could be the ones telling your parents.
Regardless, don’t be afraid to make them uncomfortable. A normal parent would immediately listen to your concerns and do something about it
It’s time to just tell them you can hear them having sex. I’d be pretty darn shocked if they don’t agree to you moving rooms after they learn that’s the reason.
Don’t give them hints. Tell them that you can hear them and ask to move rooms. If they don’t let you, shout that you can hear them, every time you hear them. Bang on the walls, say to stop, say it’s gross and you don’t want to hear it. Make it as uncomfortable for them as it is for you.
Talk to your parents. They’ll move you to the other side of the house.
Make an audio recording and play it back on full blast at 3 am
Or try earplugs
You don’t have to say “sex” during the conversation. Just be matter of fact, “You guys are so loud at night. I’m wearing headphones and you still wake me up. I’m exhausted all the time from lack of sleep (and how the hell are they NOT?) Since Caroline’s room is free, I’d like to move in there, because I can’t with this anymore.”
One thing I might do is when they start up, make a HUGE, noisy deal of actually MOVING to that room. Make sure it’s set up earlier in the day, and when they wake you, say ”Oh for the love of Pete!” Then gather your pillow and phone and head out to the other room.
