Phone reviewers on YouTube need to show more of the phone, and less of themselves talking

r/

I’m trying to watch some phone reviews on YouTube and its mostly just showing themselves talking about the phone… why not show how the phone actually works? Show us the phone and its features, not of your face and you talking about it…

I literally just saw one where the guy left the phone on the table TURNED OFF, and he was just talking about it, changing the camera angles of himself every few seconds. Why?

And when the video does show the phone, it’s just quick 1-2 seconds clips, shot as if it’s some kind of commercial/advertisement, and then back to their face again. Tf? Show us HOW the camera works for at least a minute or two, not a quick 1-2 second shot of YOU holding the phone taking a picture on a hike.

Flossy Carter does the best reviews.

Phone reviews on YouTube sounds like a silly thing

I would assume because engagement. Same as those insufferable wacky expression face thumbnails.

Tbh, all phones work the same. I don’t need to be shown it working. I need to be told the specs and how they hold up.

YouTube reviews aren’t reviews, they’re poorly disguised ads. It’s just marketing. Sometimes they bring themselves to say something slightly negative.

ALL YouTubers. I hate when I click into what looks like an interesting documentary, with a great thumbnail, expecting some rare found footage or reenactments and it’s just some dude in his garage talking to his camera for 58 minutes.

I believe this is the case with anyone reviewing anything on Youtube

I watch a lot of car reviews and it’s the same way sometimes. They’ll talk about all these new features but don’t really go too in depth on it
