when at a shopping centre as you walk past the jewellers make some comments about how some of them look gaudy etc then see what she things is gaudy and which she things look nice,… use that as a guide. you need to be as chill as you can about it all to. Don’t make it look like you are fishing for information.
The other option is propose with a placeholder ring and taker her shopping for what she wants to get.
I spoke to my partner about what she liked in tings and looked at designs online with her in Google images, finding ones she likes
Then I went to an engagement ring designer and I described to them what I knew and showed them pictures and took my own drawings in.
They turned my drawings into a 3d render and the designer and I talked about it and what we liked and didn’t like. Then I made some revisions and they came back with another 3d model based on my new ideas.
