Hello,
So June 16th 2025, I handed over a bunch of evidence to the police, as instructed by the DA office. I have video footage of myself handing over and explaining to the policeman exactly what was in these files. The video was taken via in-home security cameras. However my court date is the 21st of July so I decided to call the courts after receiving a subpoena to get further instruction on the court date. This call was made the 15th of July. I asked them did they receive any evidence and she blatantly told me that there has not been any evidence submitted for this case. I am soon going to contact the police department to try and figure out what in the world is going on but has this ever happened to anyone? Am I being too worrisome?

If you physically handed over evidence and have video proof of doing so, and yet the court has no record of it, that’s a serious issue that needs to be addressed immediately.
Sometimes things get delayed, misplaced, or overlooked in the system, but that doesn’t make it okay. I recommend calling the police department (ideally the specific officer or division you dealt with), politely explain what you were told by the court, and ask for confirmation that the evidence was received, logged, and forwarded to the DA.
Mention that you have security camera footage documenting the handoff if needed.
If they can’t give you clear answers, or you feel like it’s being ignored, then go directly to the DA’s office, show them the footage, and ask for guidance on how to ensure your evidence is officially submitted and reviewed before the court date.
Well did you call the DA to see if they have submitted the evidence to the court yet?
