What quality of life items helped you during your time on patrol? I’m just about to graduate FTO. They’ll be giving me my own car this week.
The following is what I have so far:
-
patrol bag / passenger patrol caddy
-
wireless keyboard/mouse to save my back if I’m doing paper in the car or cutting a cite real quick
-
air freshener and a drawers worth of cleaning supplies for after transports
-
clipboard
-
wet wipes, extra uniform
-
cooler with water and snacks
Anything else you’d suggest?

Good sunglasses if you don’t already have them.
Cigarettes, protein bars and candy. Not for yourself, but it’s good to win people over. Helps people going through withdraws, ease stress. People will be more likely to supply you intel.
