question for guys: is a hemorrhoid a turn off?

r/

so this is super embarrassing but i’m 26f and i’ve had this for hemorrhoid a long time, and generally it stays uninflamed but due to chronic constipation growing up it’s still kind of there. its usually smaller in size but has always made me super insecure during sex with my boyfriend and I’ve recently been super constipated again which has made it really swollen and idk how to keep avoiding intimacy as i have been already for awhile. I just feel really gross and like it’s not something i wanna bring up but it feels like some type of elephant in the room cuz idk id he thinks about it. i’m just wondering if guys find it really unappealing or if it’s something im making really big in my head.

TD;LR would you be not attracted to a girl that had a hemorrhoid?

unless you are having anal sex with your boyfriend, i doubt he’ll notice. However, I was with a woman who had one and it wasn’t a problem at all. I still gave her oral pleasure down there when not inflamed and it was HOT.

I’d be more worried for your health that it has been there for that long.

Serious question: do you do butt stuff?

I think you’re massively overestimating the amount of attention that your average dude is paying to your bumhole to be honest. I’ve had babies, which is pretty much a guarantee of bum grapes, and I can honestly tell you that the reason my husband is aware of them is because I complain bitterly in his direction rather than because he actually notices them. If you’re into bum stuff I guess it might be more noticeable but even then, I promise you he’s just happy to be having sex.

You need to up your fibre and water intake substantially. While constipation happens to us all and is natural from time to time, chronic constipation is cause for concern.  Whether dietary or medication caused there are ways to alleviate it.

Now onto your question, is it attractive? Not really. However if a guy is really into someone it wont deter them from sex. You mention a boyfriend so have you spoken to him about it? Maybe ask HIM if he’s turned off by it?

It’s not a deal breaker. Just talk about it. Now, about your medical issue with lifelong constipation. I’m 60 years old and have had frequent bouts of constipation my whole. I’m at that age where you have frequent colonoscopies. My bariatric doctor diagnosed me with IBS-c, never heard of it, with the C meaning constipation. She prescribed me daily Linzess. Works like a charm. See your Doctor.

I’m also insecure about this kind of thing haha, but sex itself is such an inherently gross act that I don’t think a hemorrhoid would be a huge deal (sexual arousal can dampen the disgust response, so science is on your side for this). Have you considered getting a bidet? That completely fixed my hemorrhoid problem.

Honestly I think when a guy is horny, there isn’t much he notices beyond the bits that he likes. So I wouldn’t worry about anyone noticing unless youre really making it obvious.

I also suffer from chronic constipation and have experienced the same thing. I got them surgically removed.

I know people might say to increase water or fiber, but I tried everything and I still suffer chronic constipation. My colonoscopy came back squeaky clean. At the end of all my tests the gastroenterologist was basically just like it is what it is.

So she told me to take Miralax every day pretty much until the day I die. If I forget to take it a couple days then my stool goes back to being rock hard boulders.

So at your age, I’d go get them removed and then I’d start a Miralax regimen while getting tests and trying diets to improve the situation.
