Reddit gave me a warning for my post advocating for equality.

r/

Reddit flagged me for pointing out hypocrisy in supporting “freedom” for people but not supporting women’s rights.
They accused me of “hate”.
I appealed for an explanation and they replied with another automated message that my advocating was considered “hate”.

Something is wrong here.

“After reviewing, we found that you broke Rule 1 because you promoted identity-based hate or attacks. Reddit is a place for creating community and belonging, not for attacking marginalized or vulnerable groups of people. We don’t tolerate promoting hate based on identity or vulnerability, and any communities or people that encourage or incite violence or hate towards marginalized or vulnerable groups will be banned.

As a result, we’re issuing this warning, removing the violating content, and asking you not to break this rule again. “

Odd, what group was that in?

    This is pretty vague

They also gave me warnings for defending myself from racism. Social media sites in general are going to shit and favoring bigots.

I’ve gotten reported for racism and sexism for saying that medical sexism and racism exist and that when I am looking for doctors I avoid cis white men bc they have done me the most harm over the years. This was in response to a person who had just been gaslit by their doctor, and was trying to figure out how to find one that would be better.

There’s a lot of very sensitive privileged ppl on this app :///

I got a warning against being violent for telling a domestic abuse victim that she was being plenty nice to not send him to prison lol

The “cancel culture” crowd cries about everything these days

It’s so unreal and would be absurd if this was an SNL skit

I mentioned I corrected my dog using the word no in a dog sub and it got removed for “recommending cruel or forceful training methods.” Some of these folks are not ok.

Is there a way we can complain to the reddit mods about this sort of thing en masse? Because it’s been happening a lot, by the sounds of it.

(Edit: I’ve had a harmless post that broke zero rules removed from this sub, more than a year after I posted it. No idea why. Someone else got their comments here removed because they (politely and respectfully) said they thought Trump was unlikely to attack Canada and Greenland. I was the person they were arguing with, and even I thought it was unreasonable to remove their comments. This sub is better than most, but it isn’t immune to that type of behaviour.)

I got a warning for calling someone an asshole in the…

    AITA subreddit.

You can’t make this shit up.
