Hello, I am generally trying to find advice and figure out what to do because I have no idea…
For context: I, 19F, have been talking to this guy who’s all the way in China, 20M, whilst I’m in Germany. I don’t speak Chinese and he doesn’t speak English/German so us communicating usually relies on translation. We have been talking about starting a relationship but then I realised if we were to meet in person then how the hell would we communicate, right? I asked him about it and he said that he will take English classes.
However, I’m unsure if he is really going to put in the effort or not as English is quite hard for someone who Doesn’t speak it – hell, its even hard for me!
But I just really need some advice. what should I do? should I also try to learn Chinese for him?
TL;DR; there’s a language barrier between us and I’m seeking advice.

Why exactly do you want a relationship with someone that you’ve not only never met but doesn’t even speak your language?
By all means givie it a go, but I genuinely think the law of averages means you’ll be able to find someone much closer who speaks the same langaues as you.
