Tomorrow I will be officially filing a lawsuit against bestbuy in small claims court.
I placed a purchase with bestbuy to price match Microcenter so I could use my bestbuy creditcard to receive the points and 0 apr.
The item on bestbuy was 2999.99 and Microcenter had it for 1999.99.
I contacted bestbuy price match and he said yes the price match is valid but he could only price match is to 2399.99 on his end and the rest would need to be handled by the expert.
I agreed. He sent me a chat link to make the purchase and I completed it. He then transferred me to the other department in the same chat which did also verify the price match and told me he had issued a refund of 432.01.
Fast forward a week and a half. Still no refund. I contact bestbuy back in chat and am assured the refund was on hold and now being sent to my bank within 24 hours.
A week passes. I contact bestbuy chat and get told the same thing again. This time I received an email saying the price match is not valid because the item is no longer in available. However, the item was available when I made the purchase and was verified by two separate representatives.
I called bestbuy and spoke with a representative who went over the case which took 50 minutes of my time. He said yes he is not sure why they did not refund me yet and told me to go in store and they will get this resolved asap.
I went in store. I was told by the manager there is nothing he can do in store and I would need to contact back to the phone support.
So here I am. I have all the documentation and chat transcripts ready.
