Recently I found out my employer has class action lawsuit. I’m not sure if It applies to me because my previous co-workers informed me they had gotten something in the mail containing their CPT ID. To keep things short the deadline to file a claim is in a month so I’m not worried about the deadline but here are my questions.

if I don’t have a CPT ID mailed to me before the deadline do I not qualify, even though it explicitly states all you need to qualify for a claim to be working for the company between a certain period of time?

would I have to go into court to testify my claim?

if my employer (whom I was already planning on leaving as soon as possible) fires me for claiming the lawsuit would that be grounds for retaliation?

can my current employer see if I filed a claim for the class action lawsuit?
