Should creators have to disclose when their paid messages are written by someone else?

r/

I subscribed to a creator’s page on a content platform. Her social media said “Let’s chat!” and the page promised 1-on-1 communication. Over months of daily chatting, I genuinely thought I was talking to her — until I realized that probably wasn’t the case.

No mention of a team, assistant, or agency. Just silence.

Now I’m left wondering:

Is this emotional marketing or quiet deception?

Would basic transparency really ruin the fantasy?

Should disclosure be part of ethical platform design?

I’m not bitter — just trying to understand where the line is. Would love to hear your views.
