Got hired at the ritz Carlton which is the top rated hotel in LA, and I feel weird taking this role, I know I am young and can switch my paths, but im having second thoughts, I took the offer because I need th money right now, and I feel like ill love the enviorment. Is this good for me, im so young I want someone a lil older than me to give me advice.
Should I feel embarrassed working as a housekeeper at the age of 23?

Do you like working there? Is the money enough for you? If yes, then it’s ok to work there. You can find what you want to do later in life, your work doesn’t define you as long as you don’t let it.
This is actually a fantastic way to make contacts that can potentially help you find a stronger job in another field if you want it. Or you can work your way up thru the company. You have a job. You’re paying the bills. Anything that lets you do those 2 things is nothing to be embarrassed about, especially if you enjoy it! Life is way too short, & way too hard, to chase money or position over job satisfaction.
Feeling embarrassed is a waste when you’re working at The Ritz Carlton one of the most prestigious hotels in the world. At 23 you’re not behind you’re just getting started with real world experience that can open unexpected doors.
Take the job. A lot of high end places will actually cover tuition for certain colleges if you work there long enough or have other perks, so dont feel embarrassed for working at a good establishment.
