I am 8 weeks pregnant, with severe morning sickness. Since being pregnant with my doctors appointments and days off with being sick my boss has made comments about maybe I should consider planned parenthood. And that I need to contribute more to the team. Then gaslights me saying that she is there if I need help. I have been trying to force myself into work and over working myself to the point in the middle of the week I just vomit all day.

Her comments seem inappropriate and discriminatory towards me and I’m not sure what path I should take.

    While you may at some point want to consult with an employment attorney. It would probably be more prudent in the immediate/now to

    1. focus on your and your unborn child’s health as priority #1, and
    2. set yourself up for a better case should discrimination or a more hostile work environment happen. This would include things like documentation and proper notification and requests. Is there an HR? FMLA filing. Formally asked for a reasonable accommodation. etc.

    You didn’t provide this, but company size and employment status is a factor here as well.
