I’ve been in love with a boy for 8 years and we used to date in high school for a couple years. He’s now 22/M and i 20/F. I’m not sure what to do and need advice.
I decided to break up with him in his first semester of college because i was scared he was going to hurt me and cheat, since i had already had issues with him texting girls behind my back. We had a clean break up even though he didn’t want to break up. We both respected each other and said that we would eventually get back together when we mature.
After a year of not talking to him or seeing him i thought about him everyday. So before i went into my freshman year of college him and i hung out. He told me he still loved me and i said the same. We didn’t get back together because i wanted freedom for my freshman year and im not sure if he would have wanted to.
Throughout the school year we ran into each other once a month. Nothing ever happened between us just friendly banter. But by March i had found out he was having a kid. Him and the girl were not together and are still not.
A little over a year has gone by and him and i started seeing each other romantically but are not dating. I’m not sure how to go about this. I think of him everyday, but i don’t think he’d be a good boyfriend to me. I need advice on what to do.
TLDR. Should i get back together with my ex even though he has a kid. it’s been eight years and I still love him and hang with him.
