Should I go back to college age 30+?

r/

Anyone who went back to college or to college for the first time later in life please tell me why you did it…did it change your life?

I am 31, a mom, adhd, and i think I have some sort of undiagnosed learning disability- i have a VERY hard time grasping math subjects but can make 100+ in reading based subjects….i have been a (poor) artist with an online business and it’s honestly probably my fault it’s dying-i just am so tired of it’s instability. I wonder if I should just go for my dream of being a psychologist/counselor or an arts teacher …

I’m looking for advice or maybe a pep talk 👄 💗

Girl, go for it! You’ve got life experience those 18 year olds don’t have.

Yeah do it, but make up a solid plan to finish. Most colleges have an orientation course that covers planning out the courses you’ll need to take to graduate. I’d recommend taking that course. That’s where I learned I had to take some Physical Training courses to graduate. I also figured that I would be there past age 40 if I didn’t work a little harder and take more courses each semester. Some courses may not be available in the evening, so strive to get those out of the way – having a cool boss helps!

I wanted to graduate to keep a promise that I made to my grandfather, was very satisfying to keep that promise!

    Go do it!

There are multiple online colleges that are great and allow you to work at your own pace. If it will make you happy, I so go for it.
