I will be visiting the UK for 10days. On the day I arrive I have 10hrs before my trip mate arrives who doesn’t want to go to Bath. I arrive at 8:00. Should I go by myself- I was thinking of booking a train ticket for 11:30 and going for 4-5hrs, the ticket is 90£. Alternatively I could just go to Kensington palace and Kew gardens.
Should I go to Bath?

It looks like you’ve written the pound sign (£) after the number 90, but it should be written before the number like this:
£90

I went last year. It’s nice for a few hours. 4-5 is plenty.
I don’t have any desire to go again.
I like Bath, it’s one of the nicest UK cities imo. However I would not pay £90 to go there that is obscene.
Are you in London for the rest of the time?
Bath is really nice and not that far so it’s not a bad place to spend some time. But if you’re only in London for part of your trip I’d just stay there, it’s a big place with lots to do.
Kew gardens would be my personal preference
Where are you flying into and meeting them? I assume Heathrow. Be aware of the possibility of trains running late (much more important on the return trip) so you may wish to leave earlier.
Ultimately, it depends on exactly what you want to do and see while there. Do you think it would be worth it? I like the baths but personally I don’t think I’d have missed out if I’d never been.
How about let people know where abouts you are arriving or the other places you’re going to. It mat be better to recommend somewhere closer to where you arrive that has a similar vibe.
I prefer showers to be honest.
Go to Windsor or somewhere else closer!
It’s going to be 2-3 hours each way, that’s pushing it for the time you have, national express would be cheaper at about £60 and maybe quicker than the train though
Where are you coming from, i.e. how jetlagged are you going to be and what time zone will you be adjusting from?
Bath is amazing it’s architecture and of course the Roman baths. All your options sound good. Out of the 2 if you stay in London, Kew is better.
4-5hrs is fine for Bath I’d say if you’re very targeted on where to go. It’s a short visit, but it’s not a huge place.
The Roman Baths are surprisingly engaging, easily worth the entry fee IMO. However, do be prepared to use up a good chunk of time there (well spent imo, as I said I do recommend them – just don’t expect to do loads of other stuff too! I think you can’t take in big bags there though, so if you have one of those you may want to deposit it somewhere first. (There are left luggage services at some large railway stations)
Bath is really cool – it has lovely architecture and if you have any interest in Roman history/history in general the baths it’s named after are definitely worth a visit. So really this about the 90 pounds – if you think it’s worth it to experience another place you might not to get to see again/see the roman baths etc and this is your only chance to go to Bath, then go for it.
Doesn’t seem worth it. Use the travel hours to see more of London’s sites. My cousins from Canada came to the UK for two weeks with ideas of popping up to Scotland and never made it out of London.
I’d say it’s worth it
Bath is quite a unique place and has some great sites. If you’re up for a walk and have time I’d recommend hiking up Alexandra Hill as it gives you the best view of the city
