Simplicity in food is better

r/

I prefer vanilla ice cream to the over the top Ben & Jerry’s ice creams

I prefer fries with a good dip on the side to loaded fries or poutine

I love sushi. So simple and nice.

And you get the general idea. Simplicity allows the natural flavors of the ingredients to take the center stage.

Now I’m not saying that I hate the “over the top” foods, but I just appreciate simplicity more.

Even your example of “over the top” are fairly simple.

I would seriously rather just have a classic chocolate chip cookie then a red velvet triple fudge cheesecake toffee salted caramel crunch stuffed with a whole Oreo & Reese’s peanut butter cup with vanilla cream cookie any day

I don’t think this is unpopular.

Italian food is typically very simple, and incredibly popular.

Popular among Italian and Japanese people and those who favor it.  Its certainly a pleasure

People who say they can’t cook are just lazy. So many simple foods to make.

I make steak, burgers fish, chicken and vegetables so simple. It’s literally all I eat and it doesn’t take long at all.
