Long story short, sister in law going through a pretty nasty divorce. A lot of logistics being fought about but the main topic is 2 five year old twins.
Her lawyer called her last night to let her know that she accidentally called the husbands lawyer thinking she was leaving a voicemail for sister in law and laid out detailed plans about their entire game plan.
She is going to switch lawyers because of this but my question is would there be some kind of avenue she could take similar to a malpractice lawsuit against a doctor?
Sorry if this is dumb I truly don’t know if this is a thing.

You’re thinking of Errors and Omissions insurance. Oh, yes. She needs to file a bar complaint.
Bar complaint stat. Call the state and discuss
Practically nothing is going to come of this. The worst the bar is going to do is say “bad lawyer, don’t do it again”. A bad Google review will sting more.
Damages from a lawsuit are going to be tough to quantify. It’s probably not worth it either.
Please report this. The paper trail and documentation on license complaints does actually matter.
You can file a complaint usually on the disciplinary board of your state’s website. They have the forms to file or at least they should.
