Long story short, abusive dumbass didn’t like getting a restraining order after randomly traveling across states to just be a bitch outside our door.
He’s likely getting charged with attempted murder, but that’s criminal stuff.

Basically what can we do with the house situation? I don’t know what to do or anything really here.

His family knew he had no license, gave him a car, knew he was violent and does shit, paid for a hotel for him, and tried every step to downplay his actions and tell us to be civil lol.

I’m not asking anything specific, just need whatever advice there can be.

(Info)

They just bought this property after paying on it for years.
They just took out a big loan for new siding and already paid part to the company doing it.
The new siding and everything was partly to comply with home insurance, and also just to fix up leaks.

She should call her insurance company.

Press charges, sue his entire family and have them investigated. Do whatever you can to get whatever is needed for your sister, you, and anyone else affected by this.

Ruin him and his family for this. It’s only fair.

You might be able to convince a civil jury that his family is responsible if you have evidence they knew he was crazy and gave him a car, especially if he had a history of aggressive/reckless driving. I believe this type of suit is becoming more common in cases where someone knowingly gives or sells a gun to a nutter. Unfortunately, if his family is loaded, they will likely hire a good attorney. If they’re not loaded, then it may be hard to get paid even if you win. You have to weigh all that against the cost of preparing and going to trial. I doubt any attorney would take something like this on speculation.

I would also, while speaking with a lawyer, ask them if they think there’s anything else you should be doing. Especially if There is any chance you can save the house and get it fixed.
