I’ve been watching bodycam videos, and a few of them have an officer say something along the lines of “I see shake over there”, or they will tell the person that they see it but say “they are not worried about it”, or they will downplay something found and say “that’s just shake”. They never show it on camera, and it is almost never a major issue. What exactly is it, and why is it not an issue although it must always be brought up if found when searching a vehicle?
Slang/Lingo – What is “shake”?

Shake is the residual crumbs and sticks of marijuana left over from core buds after they have been used. It’s usually an insignificant amount to charge someone with.
It’s interesting to see the comments here.
When I was a rookie, a “shake” or “shake box” was a nervous boss.
It’s what “shakes” off weed as it’s being packaged or rolled or packed, usually just a tiny amount of crumbs. It is however evidence of drug use that amounts to PC is states where marijuana is illegal.
I assume they mean the bottom “crumbs” of the bag of weed.
Generally speaking when your buying weed and a dealer says they got shake it’s either straight up trim with little to no actual THC or just extremely small buds/crumbs of bud.
It’s like code or another term they use for when they see a nice ass.
They don’t show it on camera because they’re typically checking out other men…..now that’s gay
Shake is basically weed crumbs you see in cupholders/carpeting in cars. Basically paraphernalia
Weed crumbs my guy
Basically residual weed crumbs
